Schweitzer Gallery has occupied a prominent role in the New York City art community since it was founded in the 1960s. Max Schweitzer had a love and adoration of American and European paintings of all periods, from Old Masters to Modern. That passion was, and still is, the driving force behind our countless acquisitions, research, authentication and the eventual sales of artworks .
We are Schweitzer Gallery Associates, collectors and scholars who appreciated the way the Schweitzer’s conducted their business, and the quality of the art they represented. We are well financed, and ready to purchase or broker any artwork sold or exhibited through the Gallery.
We are also able to complete IRS sanctioned appraisals, for donations and insurance purposes.
